Bontrager SuperCharger

Bontrager's SuperCharger features an easy-to-read raised gauge, durable aluminum barrel, comfy co-molded handle, and an auto-select head that instantly fits both Presta and Schrader valves. The large, stable base assists pumping and minimizes tipping, too. And a handy built-in air release valve makes it easy to dial-in just the right amount of pressure.

      Comments:

For most of this season I've been using a hand pump (Topeak Peakini)to add air to my tires pre-ride. I always thought that having a pressure gauge was a waste of money and that getting it "close" was fine. I bought the Supercharger this week when it was on sale. WOW was I wrong about "getting it close". Once I connected this pump to my bike, it appears that I was running my tires at approx 80 psi by using my hand pump. This pump clamps on nice and tight with no air loss and the gauge has a nice little arrow that you can set on a specific psi. You just pump until you hit the arrow and you're done. I noticed an immediate difference in my riding performance. Don't guess anymore. Buy this pump and you'll be glad that you did. BTW, I had bought another floor pump from REI last season and it didn't seal well around the valve stem so the gauge wasn't accurate. This pump works like it's suppose to. Buy it!

        Comments:

After buying 3 cheap pumps that all had to have a presta valve adapter, which all blew to pieces if I tried to pump the tube up over 90 psi, I decided that it was time to invest in a quality pump. I was afraid of the prices, but after purchasing this pump I realized that I would have saved money if I had just bought this one originally. There is no need for a presta valve attachment, the pump just works with either valve type out of the box. I was also satisfied with how accurate the gauge was, as well as the fact that it has an indicator that you can set, so you don't have to go look at your tire wall every time you can't remember what PSI your tires are supposed to be at.

Every aspect of this pump is quality. It's sturdy, precise gauge, solid grip etc. I will be the first to buy cheap if I can get away with it, but in this case the quality is well worth the price. I've already had two fellow riders convert to this pump after using department store brands. I'm sure there's other good pumps out there but if you're the novice out there like I am waiting for a sign in the reviews like I was on what pump could be "the one", consider this your notice.
